The Democratic Eastern Coalition (DEC) is a country comprised of Washington, D.C., New York, Quebec, New Brunswick, Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. It is most notable for having two capitals, New York City and Washington, D.C. It should also be noted that a sixth borough was founded in New York City named Eastriver.

Andrew Dagyab was born on December 7, 2046 in the Democratic Eastern Coalition, making him a DEC citizen.
Stone shaping is a form of meditation that originates from an unknown region that was brought by Andrew's family to the Democratic Eastern Coalition, where it would become famous and even more widespread. Master Choden Nyima, a woman from Eastriver, New York, DEC, was one of the pioneers of the practice.

The flag of the Democratic Eastern Coalition is made up of a white cross on a blue field, with a red fleur-de-lis on the top left representing Quebec, a green pine tree on the top right representing New England, and three white stars lined up on the bottom left and six gold stars formed in an arch on the bottom right representing it's capitals Washington, D.C. and New York City, respectively.
